First of all, the keyboard looks great at first glance. The metal construction feels high-quality, and the overall details and finishing are nicely done.
As for the included parts, there are several popular plate materials to choose from, each offering a different sound profile and typing feel. This provides plenty of room for customization and allows the keyboard to work well with both tactile and linear switches.
I also really like the PCB foam that comes with the keyboard, as it helps reduce unwanted noise and makes the overall typing experience feel more refined.
Just as good as the original for smooth keystrokes. If you like silent tactile switches, these are phenomenal. There is no mushy feeling with these like many other silent tactile switches out there when you bottom out.
These remind me of the Durock Silent Shrimp Switches (T1), but feel more premium and smoother(better factory lube).
Amazingly even with the extra smoothness since they are oil kings, that tactile bump is not lost as you press the key down for actuation. Highly recommended for open office environments.
I used to be a big Zealios fan back in the day, but moved to linears until trying the Type R switches. I'm in love with the tactility and sound these produce!
These keycaps are an excellent compliment to the Cosmos (purple) variant of the Akko MOD007 V5 HE keyboard. The pictures honestly don't do it justice. The legends are subtle but strike a balance of legibility and invisibility. Highly recommended.
This is my first true full size keyboard and I definitely have been missing out! The ND104 has everything you need and more! The calculator feature is my absolute favourite thing ever which makes it my go-to work keyboard. It’s the perfect shade of pink and very sleek (I’m not a fan of bulky boards). 10/10 I recommend this anyone looking for a full size keyboard.
The mouse feels extremely light and honestly, I've been having a great gaming experience with it.
Very nice feeling linear switches. They are very smooth and have excellent crispness tactility on bottom out and return. Acceptable light transmission for not being clear topped or having a diffuser.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect is the sound, which I found to vary greatly depending on the board they are in, far more than usual. They aren't as sharp as something like a HXM Xinhai or Feker marble white and accentuate the hollower "thock" sound, but aren't what would be considered a traditionally "thocky" switch. They honestly sound incredible and are very fun to play with in various configurations. I swapped the stock springs out with some 63g dual stage springs and had then in a Yunzii AL80, but I found them a poor fit due to the acoustic inconsistencies of that board, combined with the Snow Grape's very long, nearly 3.9mm of travel in what was my primary gaming board. Instead, I popped then in a Weikav Nut65 with an Aluminium plate, and the sound is beautifully mechanical without any harsh notes.
Overall, very nice switches and are very fun, but be aware of the 3.88mm of travel. Comparable to Xinhai heavies, but with a wider, more complex sound and slightly slower.
